More space, more comfort: sustainable renovation in the Geuzenkwartier

In the Geuzenkwartier neighbourhood of The Hague, Den Haan Renovators completely transformed and significantly expanded a home of approximately 80 m².

By adding an extra floor and building rear extensions on both the ground floor and the first floor, the living area was substantially increased.

In addition to the expansion, the home was fully renovated to A+++ sustainability standards. This was achieved through high-quality insulation, underfloor heating, energy-efficient air conditioning and a hybrid central heating system. As a result, not only has living comfort improved significantly, but energy costs have also been considerably reduced.

For the interior finish, premium materials and custom craftsmanship were chosen throughout. All sanitary ware was selected at Harry Suiker. The home was also fitted with a custom kitchen, sofa and pivot door by Wood Creations, giving it a unique and luxurious appearance.

A standout feature of this home is the custom-made window frame in the rear facade, fitted with two curved panes. This unique detail gives the home an extra sense of luxury and exclusivity, and is a true eye-catcher in the interior.
